Mothers' Union

The Mothers' Union has over 4 million members in 81 countries. Our local group in Rothley meet in the Old School Rooms at 2.00pm on the first Tuesday of every month. Visitors are always welcome. We have a short service, listen to a speaker and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee together.

Several members at Rothley have leadership roles outside the parish in projects, finance, pastoral care, trustee responsibilities and faith in the Diocese. Sue Wilson is currently trustee of the central organisation and coordinates project work worldwide.

For further information please contact Margaret Tebbet welcome@rothleychurch.org.uk

The Mothers Union has 5 objectives:

- To uphold Christ’s teaching on the nature of marriage and to promote its wider understanding.

- To encourage parents to bring up children in the faith and life of the Church.

- To maintain a world wide fellowship of Christians united in prayer and worship.

- To promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life.

- To help those whose family life has met with adversity.
