Our Children's groups at Rothley Parish Church are Scramblers (ages 3-5), Climbers (ages 5-7) and Explorers (ages 8-11).

We meet during the 10.30am service each Sunday. We spend a short time in church for the family focus and then for the rest of the service we are in the Old School Rooms. On the fourth Sunday of each month, we will start together in the Old School Rooms and return to church for communion. Come and learn about Jesus and have lots of fun! You will have great teachers and make lots of friends!

Each year we run a holiday club at Rothley School towards the end of the summer holidays for children aged 3-11. Each day we aim to explain the good news of Jesus through a selection of drama, craft, music, games and a short Bible talk.

Holiday Club 2018

We will be running a holiday club in Summer 2018. More details to follow.

For more info please contact the Childrens and Families Worker, please contact us via email.

Holiday Club 2017

Cops & Robbers ran from Thursday 17th to Friday 18th August, 09.00-12.00 at Rothley Primary School, with a special holiday club family service at Rothley Parish Church on Sunday 20th August at 10.30am. Each day at holiday club there was a selection of drama, craft, music, games and a short Bible talk. It was an action packed, fun-filled three hours each morning.

On the first day we looked at the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15:1-7. We learnt from Inspector Josh that we are all like lost sheep who have gone astray.

On the second day we looked at the Parable of the Lost Coin in Luke 15:8-10. We learnt from Deputy David that we are all precious to God and that he sent Jesus to come and search for us.

On the Sunday we looked at the Parable of the Lost Son in Luke 15:11-32. We learnt from Inspector Rob that God is a loving father who is longing to forgive lost children who return to Him.

Alongside our weekly teaching programmes, we run a number of all-together events for children aged 3-11. Our all-together events have included an Easter craft session, a Light Party at the end of October and putting on a Christmas nativity play.

Christmas Play 2017

The children will be performing their Christmas play during the 10.30am service on Sunday 17th December 2017. Rehearsals for the Christmas play will take place instead of the normal Scramblers, Climbers and Explorers sessions on the following Sundays during the 10.30am service:

Sunday 3rd December
Sunday 10th December

There will also be an additional rehearsal on a Saturday (TBC). Children are encouraged to come to all the rehearsals if they wish to take part in the Christmas play, but if they are unable to then it is not essential.

Light Party 2017

In previous years, towards the end of October, we have run a Light Party as an alternative to Halloween, as a celebration of Jesus being the light of the world. There will be no Light Party this year.

The Oakes

The Oakes is a residential centre that provides a weekend of Bible teaching and adventurous activities for children and young people. Each year, we take a group of children aged 8-11 for a fun packed weekend of great Bible teaching and activities.
