Angela Neill

Angela Neill
Churchwarden

I have lived in Rothley for 25 years and have been a member of Rothley Parish Church throughout this time. I am married to Richard and our three children were all baptised here. Prior to having our family, I trained as a nurse in Birmingham before working on the Neonatal Intensive Care units at the City Hospital and QMC in Nottingham. The church has been an important source of support and encouragement to us in our family life and it has played an important role in our children’s lives through Children's groups, music, youth groups and so on. I became an assistant warden in 2015 and have enjoyed supporting the work of the church in this role, before becoming a churchwarden in 2018.

Mike Ferguson

Mike Ferguson
Churchwarden

Wendy and I moved into Rothley in 2007 but have been part of the church family since 2005. I took an active part in working with the men’s group until recently. Following my retirement in 2017 from the University Hospitals of Leicester (where I was an anaesthetist) I started as an assistant warden in October and was thrilled to be nominated for the role of church warden in 2018 and to serve the church in a practical way.

Other than this she can be found playing tennis, ferrying children around, leading the Carousel housegroup for mums of young children or  taking part in activities with both Brownies and Guides in Rothley, who also generally meet in The Old School Rooms!
