The Revd Dr Iain Whyte and his wife Isabel, who visited Rothley from their home in Fife for the Abolition Weekend in March 2007. Iain preached in the morning service at the Parish Church and took a full part in the afternoon events at the Rothley Court Hotel. Later on the Monday he gave an address on Zachary Macaulay to the church's men's group 'Men Behaving Acceptably'.
