Although becoming increasingly urban, Rothley still likes to think of itself as a place that has many of the things that make it a village. One is provided by the Rothley Bellringers, a faithful band who practice on Tuesday evenings, and on Sundays call folk to worship. A fitting and enduring reminder of English village life. Become a bellringer yourself. Contact Ian Stonehouse by e-mail on ian@rothleybells.co.uk.
The Old School Rooms can also be hired (contact Mike Banks 0116 237 6832). Childrens' birthday parties, wedding anniversaries, small receptions fit well into the facilities. Well equipped kitchen, carpeted floors, modern decor.
Surfers is the name we give to our Sunday Childrens'
work. Age Groups meet during part of the Sunday morning service time for Christian
teaching, worship and fun activities.
Many of the older children attend Christian Summer Camps. A teenage group
called CYFA comes together on Sunday nights, a super way
to prepare for the new week.
