under its presiding Bishop Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Church of England is organised into 44 areas called a diocese, each with their own cathedral and tradition of daily Christian Worship. Rothley Parish Church is in the Leicester Diocese, presided over by Tim Stevens, Bishop of Leicester.
The present Vicar of Rothley, the Revd Rob Gladstone, was instituted by the Bishop of Leicester to the care of the people of the parish of Rothley in May 2001. Rob works with an elected body of local people called the Parochial Church Council, and particularly with the two Church Wardens, Derek Houghton and Jean Arkley. He is assisted by a ministry team of three Lay Readers, a Pastoral Assistant, and two retired Associate Priests
